We’re pleased to announce that Andrew Calcutt has been co-opted onto the Brakes Trust board. We welcome Andrew onto the team and look forward to working together.
Andrew writes: “I’m delighted to be joining the Trust team, I hope to continue the good work that has been done over the last few years. My first game was in November 2007, Leamington v Berkhamsted Town, my brother took me up for something to do on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good few years before I returned and that was for pre season friendly against Coventry City in 2011. I really enjoyed the game and asked for a season ticket for my birthday and the rest is history.
“Since then I have moved from just watching the games and I’m currently now a coach for the Leamington Lions under 10’s and spent a lot of the summer helping the Trust at summer events. So joining the Trust board feels like a natural fit”.
The Trust board now comprises:
Nick Rogers, Chairman
Peter Davis, Vice Chairman
The Trust team are currently planning for a number of community events over the summer, including the Peace Festival, Leamington Carnival and Whitnash Fun Day. We’ll be generally promoting the football club directly to the community, with leaflets and free match tickets. At some events we’ll also have our Goal Wall.
We’re also planning an evening at the football ground for the England v Russia game in the Euro 2016 championship on June 11th.
If you’re able to help out at any of these events then that would be fantastic. Either drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or get in touch with any of the Trust team.
