Non League Day

Non League Day 2015

We welcome all sports fans to come and see the Brakes and sample the thrills of non-league football up close.

For the first time since the inception of ‘Non League Day’ Brakes have a home fixture that enables the club to promote itself on what is an ‘International Weekend’ with no Premier League or Championship fixtures taking place.

For a full breakdown of what’s happening throughout day see the latest on the Club’s web-site here.

Merthyr Town provide the opposition on Saturday 10 October and the club in conjunction with the Brakes Trust is promoting a range of initiatives aimed at attracting new faces to the Phillips 66 Community Stadium plus interacting with the community and supporters.

It is particularly fitting that Merthyr Town are our opponents on this special day as we welcome them back, from near oblivion, to the Southern League Premier Division under the supporter ownership of the Martyrs to the Cause Trust.

  • The Brakes Trust is sponsoring the club’s free park and ride bus
  • The Brakes Trust minibus will be running the usual home run service for free.
  • We have secured a copy of Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2016 game from nonleagueday.co.uk, this will be a special additional draw prize for holders of 50/50 tickets.

So come on, what’s not to like? Have some fun, enjoy the banter and make your way to the The Phillips 66 Community Stadium to see the Brakes.

Update 11th Oct’15:

A good crowd of 623 saw the Brakes go top (again!) with a late winner.
