Brakes Lose 5-4 on Penalties

A very good defensive display by Brakes saw Woodford United restricted to long-range shots and Sidhu, growing in confidence, save well with his feet in the 36th. But Brakes didn't look like scoring either until about the hour when they started to play as a team with Wickson and Bahi, in particular, in superb form.

However, two evenly matched teams ended the 90 minutes goalless. Timms scored the first penalty for Brakes but Webb drove the next one past the post. Nicholls, Crabtree and Bahi all scored with unstoppable shots but Woodford scored all 5 of theirs to move into the final tomorrow at a new time of 3:30 with Brakes having to settle for the 3rd/4th place play-off at noon against Hook Norton Town who also lost by penalties against hosts Banbury United.
