Jacqui Forster

The Brakes Trust team were saddened to learn that Jacqui Forster from Supporters’ Direct has passed away.

Jacqui was instrumental in helping us set up the Trust, from that very first meeting at the Whitnash Tavern onwards. She provided expert advice, mentoring and training to a number of Trust team members past and present. Her enthusiasm for the cause meant she was always available to give us advice: sometimes legal advice, sometimes business admin, sometimes just a friendly nudge in the right direction.

Supporters’ Direct, the body which oversees Supporters trusts like ours, has a short piece on her here: https://supporters-direct.org/articles/jacqui-forster

This engaging piece in the Guardian talks about her later project, Women at the Game: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/oct/31/women-at-the-game-jacqui-forster

Nick Rogers, Chairman of the Brakes Trust writes:
“Jacqui’s enthusiasm, knowledge and encouragement were major factors in starting up the Brakes Trust – she made the difference in so many ways”.

We would like to send our sincere condolences to Jacqui’s family and friends.
