October Newsround

Here’s a roundup of news from the Brakes Trust…

Sportsman’s Evening
The Trust is pleased to support this week’s Sportsman’s Evening run by the Vice Presidents club. The Trust purchased a pair of tickets in order to run a competition to win them. We asked our members to complete the sentence ‘I support the Brakes Trust because…’ and the winning entry was from Tony Bennett who wrote:

The good they do spreading the word about the brakes club within the local community, then others will get to enjoy the brakes community and get hooked like my family and others.

Congratulations Tony and we hope you enjoy the Sportsman’s Evening on Thursday!

Brakes Lottery
The Trust is now a player in the Brakes Lottery and our numbers are 48, 45.

Board member changes
Jim Miller stood down as a board member earlier this year and we thank him for his work with the Trust. Founder member Lee Matthews has been co-opted onto the Trust board, and we welcome him onto the team and look forward to working together.

Leamington FC AGM
Trust board members Peter Davis, Peter Bowen and Lee Matthews, together with Secretary Nick Hallworth, attended the Leamington FC AGM on Sunday 30 September. The Trust took notes from the meeting, which will be discussed at a board meeting later this week. Following that, the Trust will publish updates from the meeting to members.
