Members’ Ballot on Leamington FC EGM

This week the Trust board have been discussing the club’s EGM notice and have sought more information from the club as well as making initial contact with Supporters Direct for objective advice and opinion.

Subsequently we have been able to arrange an informative meeting at short notice with LFC board member Russell Davis, where a number of questions and issues were discussed and clarified.

The Trust is now balloting its membership on how it should vote that the EGM and, with the club’s agreement, is making both the EGM notice documents and the minutes of the meeting with Russell Davis available to members. We urge members to read these documents carefully and contact either the club (chairman@leamingtonfc.co.uk) or the Trust (info@brakestrust.com) if you have any comments or queries.

What happens now:

  1. We have sent out an email today to all members for whom we hold an email address. This includes a download link and password for the documents mentioned above, and a personalised link for the ballot webpage which allows you to vote.
  2. If you have not received this email, please check your spam folder. If it’s not in there, please send an email to info@brakestrust.com . It may be that your membership has lapsed or that we have an old email address for you.
  3. There are a small number of people for whom we don’t hold an email address. We will be phoning these members over the coming week.
  4. Voting closes 28 May.
  5. The result of this ballot will dictate how the Trust votes at the upcoming EGM.

Since the online ballot responses are linked to members’ email addresses, this ensures only members can vote and can only vote once. It also means that responses are not anonymous, however the responses will be confidential.

We’d encourage all members to vote on this important issue for Leamington FC. Many thanks.
