Football for everyone
The Brakes Trust is the supporters’ trust for Leamington FC. Membership is open to all, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or background. It goes without saying that everyone in Leamington is welcome at the club, whatever their ability or circumstances.
Working with local groups
We’d love to hear from community groups in Leamington and the surrounding area who would like to get involved with the club. That could be:
- coming along to a match as a group
- running a joint event or activity
- getting your group’s members involved with the club and the Trust
- sharing ideas on how we can support each other
Working together helps your members enjoy local football. It also helps us reach new supporters and build a more representative fan base. Whether you’re a faith group, a cultural or community association, a youth group, or a group for older or disabled people, we’d be glad to talk.
Fans for Diversity
Minority groups are under-represented in our fan base, and we want to change that.
In August 2025 we started a Fans for Diversity project with the Football Supporters’ Association. We contacted community groups across Leamington and provided transport to bring them to a home match. For several groups, young and old, it was their first game.
The project was nominated for the National Game and Non League award at the Fans for Diversity national conference in September 2025.
We plan on repeating and building upon this exercise, since it was so successful. If you are part of a community group in Leamington which would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
The Trust minibus
Since July 2016 the Trust has run a minibus to take supporters to matches. For many of our passengers it is the only practical way to get to a game.
Regular passengers include:
- supporters who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility
- people who cannot drive for medical reasons
- young people, and pensioners who live alone
- students, and people without a car
Our passengers vary in age, ability, background and income. On each trip they travel, talk and spend the day together, and many have made friends through it. The minibus is driven by trained volunteers and runs on a not-for-profit basis. Fares cover running costs.
The minibus is available for hire by associated groups (e.g. community teams) and non-profit groups/societies. If you are part of a local group in Leamington and would like to link up with us for minibus use, please get in touch.
In the community
The Trust also:
- supports local and national charities through fundraising and events
- runs the club shop
- holds pop-up shops in Leamington town centre, including at the Christmas market
Get involved
Membership is open to any Leamington FC supporter aged 16 or over. Every member gets one vote and a say in how the Trust is run.
