Brakes Trust and St. Albans City FC admission charges
St Albans City FC has introduced increased admission charges from December 8th by 20% – £2:00 to £12.00 for adults – for its game against Leamington FC (The Brakes), one of the strongest supported away sides in the Southern League.
On behalf of all supporters, home and away, The Brakes Trust is against this move and has asked St Albans City FC to reconsider its position as increased charges come in mid-season, in a recession and three weeks before Xmas. Away supporters should not be expected to subsidise a mismanaged players’ budget.
The Trust wants supporters to travel as usual but be aware of the issue and rather than boycott the game, exercise individual discretion when it comes to spending money at the ground.
