£300 donated to the club’s “Secure our Club” fund from final Scratch Card proceeds.
Trust Board Member Jim Miller, who has independantly run the old LFCSC scratch cards scheme since the LFCSC was wound up, has donated £300 to the club’s “Secure our Club” fund via the Trust. A cheque was given to the club at the WBA cup game.
A further £64 has been donated to the Trust’s “Share in our Club” fund – these donations are in accordance with the Trust’s stated donation policy. The monies were banked with the Trust in order to avoid Jim holding large amounts of cash, he was obliged to operate with a reasonable float to cater for winners.
Jim deserves a vote of thanks for his great effort in keeping the scheme going and raising funds for the club.
It is impractical for him to carry on as the wound-up LFCSC’s gamling licence is defunct and it is unfair to continue to distribute the cards with Dave Morris as the named agent. Dave and Jim have decided to destroy the remaining cards unless they hear to the contrary within the next few days.
