We’d like to announce the following exciting changes to the Brakes Trust board:
Trust Chairperson:

Founding member Peter Davis has stepped down as Chairperson, a role he has held for a number of years. The Brakes Trust would like to thank Pete for all of his hard work and dedication over the years. Pete will continue as a Trust board member.
We are pleased to announce that Andrew Calcutt has stepped up to the role of Chairperson. Andrew has been attending the Brakes for 14 seasons now and has sat on the Trust board for just under 10 years.
Andrew writes “I’m excited to take on the role of Chairperson and lead the trust with new energy behind it. Over the coming weeks we will be launching our new 3 campaigns – Brakes in our town, Backing the Brakes & Supporters First! Some of the work has already begun in the launch of the fanzone at the King’s Lynn game (29.03.25), fixture posters being distributed across the town, and sponsoring a race at club hosted race night.”
“I’m really optimistic about what we can achieve and would like to remind people that the Trust is open to all and that all views and ideas are welcome. COYB!”
Further additions to the Board:

We are also delighted to announce that Benn Lane and Nigel Murray have been co-opted onto the Trust board. We are confident that both Benn and Nigel will already be familiar faces to many Brakes fans!
Benn Lane writes:
“Having moved to Leamington from Bristol in July 2007, I’ve been a passionate supporter of Leamington FC ever since. My career journey has been diverse and fulfilling, having spent 16 years working as a guide dog trainer with Guide Dogs, and now working as a fibre optic engineer in the Telecoms industry.”
“I am passionate, positive, and love taking on new challenges. Im extremely honoured to be elected onto the Brakes Trust board, where I hope my enthusiasm, forward-thinking approach, and dedication to the club can bring a fresh perspective to the important work being done on & off the pitch”.
“Favourite players’ past & present include Mark Bellingham, Richard Batchelor, Jimmy Husband, Jack Edwards, and Ewan Williams. Up The Brakes!”

Nigel Murray writes “Leamington born and bred, I have supported the Brakes for over 50 years!”
Nigel has represented GB Boccia at Paralympic games winning numerous medals throughout his playing years and was awarded an MBE for services to boccia in 2013. Nigel is honoured to be elected to the Brakes Trust where he hopes to relay his vast knowledge of disability related matters.
“Favourite past and current players include Roger Brown, Kim Casey, Josh Blake and Callum Hawkins.”
Nigel also reports a fondness for cheese and onion crisps, and Leeds United.
A warm welcome to the team, Benn and Nigel!
