Confirmed act for Awards night – Sambassadors of Groove

The Brakes Trust are delighted to announce that the Sambassadors of Groove are confirmed to perform a set at the Citizen of the Year Awards night.

Beth from the Sambassadors of Groove writes:

The Sambassadors Of Groove are Leamington’s own community Samba band. Formed in 1998, we have spent the last 12 years bringing the joy of samba to people. We have a yearly induction when anyone can come along and learn about samba.

We play the kind of percussive rhythms that you will have heard of during Carnival time in Brazil; the kind of rhythms that mean you simply have to get up and start dancing! Every year we play at festivals and carnivals all over the UK and beyond, and this year we will be back by popular demand at Warwick Folk Festival.

We are very proud to be part of the Citizen of the Year Awards, and to play at the Assembly.
